KU preparing for stretch run
With just six games remaining, No. 3 ranked Kansas (23-2; 8-2) has reached the home stretch of the regular season. After losing to No. 11 ranked Texas on Monday night, the Jayhawks return to the comfy confines of Allen Fieldhouse to face the Colorado Buffaloes (10-13; 2-7) on Saturday afternoon. Bill Self knows his squad must begin to show signs of improvement and, more importantly, must begin to peak in late February or early March of they hope to make that magical run.
Coming off a frustrating loss to Texas on Monday night, Kansas will look to get back on the winning track when Colorado comes calling on Saturday. When the Jayhawks and Buffaloes first met in Boulder back on February 2, Self's squad walked off the Coors Event Center court with a 72-79 victory.
