Jones on the verge of picking up offers
The state of Michigan has another talented offering of prospects in 2009, but no position can boast the evel and depth of talent that the running back position can in-state. Among the top four prospects at the position who are all in the running for four-star status is Detroit Cass Tech's Teric Jones.
The 5-9, 190-pound Jones is electric with the ball in his hands. He posted the top 40 time at the Army National Junior Combine last month with a 4.47 and is surprisingly physical with the football in his hands. Last fall, though, he yielded carries to class of 2008 Indiana signee Cortez Smith in the Technicians backfield. The lack of carries has not dissuaded college from showing early attention however.
