Since the last time we interviewed Penn Hills linebacker Dan Mason he has made a couple of trips to the Pitt practice facilities on the Southside.

"I have been receiving a lot of mail from various colleges but Pitt, Penn State, West Virginia and Toledo are the only schools to offer me so far. Most of them have invited me to their Junior Day but the trip to Penn State is the only one I have scheduled right now."

Last fall Mason helped Penn Hills to a 6-4 record and a berth in the WPIAL Class AAAA playoffs. Mason was recognized by being selected first team All-Quad East and second team all-state by the Associated Press.

Mason is currently running indoor track for his school. He participates in the 60 meters and 200 meters.

Last May Mason attended the Nike Camp at State College and he indicated he is registered to attend again this year.
