Rivals100 OL picks up UGA offer
Over 30 schools have made Scranton (PA) West Scranton offensive tackle Eric Shrive a target, and the University of Georgia is the latest school to join the race for his signature.
"Georgia offered me last Friday," said Shrive. "They called coach Mike DeAntona (West Scranton Head Football Coach) about me, so I called Georgia back when he told me that."
"I called Georgia's offensive line coach (Stacy Searels), and he told me that they were really interested in me, and that is when they offered me. He told me that he wanted me to learn more about the Dawgs."
"The offer really came out of nowhere, and I was not expecting it at all. They really had not been recruiting me that much, but I am going to take a look at them, and learn about Georgia now."
The 6-foot-7, 285-pound tackle does not know much about the SEC program, but he plans to do some research now that he has an offer.
"I know they are a top notch program, and I know they are going to be in everyone's pre-season top five," he said. "I am going to try to learn some things about them now, and I might take a visit down there too."
The number 49 rated player in the country is fresh off visits to Ohio State and Rutgers over the last two weeks, but he plans to shut it down for a while.
