Kissed by the gods, Ebanks' game is instinctive

WVSports.com JAMAICA QUEENS, N.Y.--Father Hubert Ebanks remembers taking his 9-year-old son to a Brooklyn playground and watching him spin a move that defied gravity. "It was this crossover dribble that just left this other kid sprawling," the former Shaw University basketball player said with a father's wide smile. "I knew then we had something." In fact, Ebanks, now 18, pulled off a couple of spell-binding moves in Sunday afternoon's championship game of the is8/Nike Spring Classic here. And a rowdy crowd of about 300 packed into the 46-year-old gymnasium were just as awed.
