Four-star WR picks up big offer
For all his talent and ability it's been a bit strange to see wide receiver Shawney Kersey sitting on just two scholarship offers up to this point. That will change soon, as one of the nation's premier programs have told him an offer will greet him any day.
The Woodbury, N.J. wide out has proven himself on the field but up until this point only Iowa and Rutgers had offered him.
What other school is joining the mix?
"West Virginia is going to fax me a scholarship," he said. "It's going to be any time now. I talked to the coach and they told me."
That's not the only good news Kersey received recently. He's been invited to a prestigious event that he was hoping he would get the opportunity to participate in.
"I'm invited to the U.S. Army All-American game. I'm going to do that and I might camp at Maryland, West Virginia and Rutgers."
Despite their early efforts, Iowa and Rutgers seem to still have some work cut out for themselves. Neither has cracked Kersey's top two.
He said the two programs at the top of his list are Penn State and West Virginia.
