Farr has a favorite

Wide receiver Sean Farr of Baltimore (Mary.) Dunbar is holding on to four scholarship offers and two are from programs in BCS conferences. That said, his favorite may come as a surprise to some.

The 6-foot-2, 178-pound receiver runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds and had a huge junior season at Dunbar.

Last fall he caught 49 passes for an eye-popping 1,383 yards and 18 touchdowns. He currently holds offers from Maryland, Virginia, Akron and Eastern Michigan. Who is his leader?

"I would say Akron," Farr said. "I'm leaning to them a little bit. They have a good program, a good atmosphere and it's a good college. I think I'd get good playing time there too.

"I think it was Thursday that Akron and Eastern Michigan offered me. Maryland and Virginia already had. Those are pretty much the schools I'm talking to."

Dunbar's football team is currently involved in 7-on-7's. He plans on camping at Akron later this month and Maryland in July. Farr said his top goal for the summer is to improve his speed.

He does not have a time frame for his decision.
