Tracking down Wheaton
Markus Wheaton is a tough young man to catch - literally and figuratively. On the football field, the unique 6-foot-1, 175-pound athlete sprints away from the competition and as a track star, it's much of the same. It's been hard to get ahold of Wheaton this summer as he's been ultra-busy with track commitments but BeaverBlitz.com was able to grab him for a little bit of his time for the latest on his recruitment.
The reason Wheaton has been largely unavailable the past few months is because he's been away from home.
"It's basically been all track for me this summer," Wheaton said. "I went to New Mexico for a track meet and I've been mainly working on my stamina. For football, I did some work with weights, but that's about it."
