Miles talks Mississippi State
LSU head coach Les Miles has had little struggles with Mississippi State during his three-year tenure in Baton Rouge.
Miles is a perfect 3-0 against the Bulldogs and has outscored them 130-24 in those contests. But despite his past success, Miles believes his opponent this week is very capable of causing some problems on the Bayou.
"I know that they didn't get the start that they wanted," Miles said. "I can tell you that I watched the Auburn-Mississippi State game and I think they are potentially a dangerous opponent. I think defensively they play with a very tenacious, aggressive defense that has the ability to give you serious issues."
Miles said he can see from film that MSU has all the capabilities of being a very good football team if they can get some of their components working together.
"The only thing I can tell you about approaching this game is if you watch the film and see how talented they are and see what their abilities can be once it's put together, that's the team we have to prepare to play," Miles said. "If we do so, then we should match-up pretty well. That is the key for us this Saturday. I don't think there will be a let down. Going into an open week is certainly a reason to let it rip. Hopefully we can go out and perform well."
The No. 5 ranked Tigers are 3-0 on the year and are coming off their first conference win last week over Auburn. LSU narrowly escaped Auburn with a 26-21 victory but Miles feels the Bulldogs will be a different type of test.
