Tigers prepare for the Sea of Red
For the first time this year, the Missouri Tigers will travel outside the borders of their own state. Yes, the Tigers opened the season with a neutral site game against Illinois, but Saturday's contest against Nebraska marks the first true road game of the year for Mizzou.
"Hopefully we can handle it," Gary Pinkel said. "You prepare for it like any other time."
Beyond just preparing, though, the Tigers say they are actually looking forward to having the crowd against them
particularly one as rabid as the Husker faithful should be for a prime-time showdown.
"I've been saying it to everybody: I'm looking forward to this. It's 90 thousand people, Sea of Red," said tailback Derrick Washington. "To play in front of that many people is crazy. I've never played in front of that many people at any sporting event. I'm looking forward to that."
