Backs like Chamblee, Georgia's Warren Norman don't often choose Vanderbilt. So when he announced his pledge to the Commodores this summer, many around him were skeptical.

After Vanderbilt's 5-0 start, Norman is getting the last laugh.

"When I made my decision earlier in July, a lot of my friends and older coaches were saying, 'Ah, you should have gone to Georgia or Florida with the talent you've got,' Norman said on Wednesday night. "Ever since they went 2-0, they were saying, 'OK, Vandy might be a good school or what not.'
