Mangino Monday Notebook
On Monday morning Mark Mangino spoke to reporters across the nation during his weekly Big 12 teleconference. The Jayhawks improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in Big 12 Play by defeating the Colorado Buffaloes, 30-14, on Saturday. Up next for Mangino's squad is a trip to Norman, Okla., to face the Oklahoma Sooners. Jayhawk Slant has the latest from Mangino inside.
On what he expects from an Oklahoma team coming off a loss to Texas:
They are a team that is steady, and not a program that is based on emotion. They are workmanlike, they come out and play well week after week, and you are not going to see anything different from them. They are going to be ready and ready to play. We kind of think the same way they do, we kind of share this belief, you can't change history, you can only take care of what is going on today and the challenges of today. I look for them to be ready to play and show no effects of coming off a loss.
