Green still looking at Mizzou
Madison High School cornerback Andrew Green has gained a reputation as a hard-nose player. Standing at 6-foot-0 and 180 lbs., Green is currently ranked as the third most physical corner in the country.
Although he enjoys being known for his physicality, Green said that he is also looking to be known as a cornerback with quickness. Green has garnered offers from half the teams in the Big 12, including the Missouri Tigers. According to Green, the Tigers are still one of his top schools.
"For my top three, I would have to say Nebraska, Missouri and Iowa State," Green said.
Although he enjoys being known for his physicality, Green said that he is also looking to be known as a cornerback with quickness. Green has not made an official visit to Columbia, but he plans on taking a visit as soon as things settle down.
"I will probably visit sometime after the season," the defensive back said. "Right now it is kind of tough with the football season going on."
Green has continued to stay in touch with the Tigers he said. He normally talks with the coaching staff about once a week or every other week. Even though he visited Nebraska in September, Green seems to be in no hurry to make a decision.
"It will probably be sometime after the season because I don't have that much time because of games right now," he said.
Although he is excited about being recruited, Green admits that it can be tough at times to balance football, school and recruiting.
"Sometimes it's tough, like I will get home and get five phone calls at the same time it seams from like coaches or people at Rivals," he said.
Currently, Green is focusing on his senior campaign with the rest of his Mustang teammates. The Mustangs have started the season 5-1 with their only loss coming last week to Smithson Valley. Green said his coach has been putting him in more situations where he can make tackles. The cornerback, however, could not pinpoint any specific numbers he has for this season.
