USCFootball.com Dominating defense has been the theme for USC this season. Blowing out another hapless PAC-10 opponent, the swarm of cardinal and gold Saturday night pummeled Washington 56-0.
On the recruiting trail, top targets like San Francisco (Calif.) Sacred Heart Cathedral defensive end Kevin Greene continued to dominate the prep gridiron. This week, Greene helped SHC earn its biggest win in school history.
This season Greene has 14 sacks after racking up 17 sacks his first year of playing football in 2007.
Manti Te'o - 6-foot-2, 225-pound linebacker
Punahou had a bye this past week; they play Kamehameha next week at Aloha Stadium. Manti Te'o is considering UCLA, BYU, Stanford and Notre Dame in addition to USC.
Shaquelle Evans - 6-foot-1, 195-pound wide receiver
Inglewood 27, Beverly Hills 28: Shaq Evans had a 42-yard touchdown reception and forced a fumble on defense but his Sentinels fell to the Normans.
Corey Adams - 6-foot-3, 275-pound defensive tackle
Saguaro 41, McClintock 13: Big man Corey Adams recorded six tackles and the Saguaro D allowed just 1.8 yards per rush to the Charger ground game.
