Five favorites for DE Nunez
Mike Farrell
Rivals.com Football Recruiting Hoboken, New Jersey defensive end Bernardo Nunez has been mulling over his options for the past few months and he's finally just about ready to start taking official visits.
Five schools are standing out to the 6-foot-3, 232-pound lineman, and he's hoping he is able to take official visits to each of them.
"I'm actually going to Maryland (today) for the weekend. It's going to be an official visit. I've been there before but it will be my first time staying for the weekend.
"The first week in January, I'll be taking an official visit to Pitt. I'd also like to take officials to Oklahoma, Michigan State and Temple.
"I think January 16 is when I'm going to Michigan State and January 23 is when I'm heading out to Temple. I don't know for sure if I'm going to Oklahoma. My coach has called them to find out if I can.
"Those are going to be my top five. I've pretty much narrowed it to them."
Nunez said he has not hosted any coaches for in-home visits yet. In addition to those schools, he holds offers from NC State, Oregon, Rutgers, Virginia, West Virginia and East Carolina.
