Aldrich, Collins carry the load for KU
Playing at home for the first time since February 7, No. 15 Kansas (21-5; 10-1) didn't disappoint against Iowa State (13-13; 2-9) on Wednesday evening. Behind a dominating finish from sophomore big man Cole Aldrich, who scored 22-points and pulled down 11 rebounds, the Jayhawks, who led by double-digits for most of the contest, pulled away from the Cyclones, 72-55. Sherron Collins, who was 4-of-6 from behind the arc, also scored 22-points and dished out six dimes.
Against the Cyclones, Aldrich was an absolute beast on the court. The 6-foot-11, 245-pound center from Bloomington, Minn., connected on 9-of-12 field goals, 4-of-4 free-throws, scored 22-points and pulled down 11 rebounds.
