Defensive Lineman Enjoys Visit with Lots More to Come
In the world of relationships a favorite cliché' is 'the fastest way to a man's heart is through his stomach' so it stands to reason that the same idea could exist for a recruiting relationship. If such is the case then Oklahoma seems to have a lot of reason to feel good about Columbia (Mo.) Rock Bridge defensive lineman Chase Rome.
That's because Sooner assistant Jackie Shipp took the 6-foot-3, 265-pound pass-rusher to one of the more popular eateries in Norman during his visit to the Sooner campus last Friday.
"The visit was good, I had a lot of fun. I discovered The Pita Pit, that's delicious stuff right there," Rome laughed. "I was hosted by coach Shipp, and we went up and talked to coach [Bob] Stoops for a while and then we came back down and he showed me the facilities.
"I got to see the hall of fame, and we went through everything and over the academics. I can't remember the lady's name but she was nice and really informative. I got the whole spiel from here and that's when we went over to the Pita Pit."
