Metoyer leads Whitehouse into state tourney
Whitehouse class of 2011 receiver Trey Metoyer was a hit on the football field last fall, catching 74 passes for over 1,000 yards and 14 touchdowns. He's also been a hit at camps he's attended in College Station, Austin and Athens, Georgia this summer.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound receiver recently led his Whitehouse teammates to the Texas state 7-on-7 tournement in College Station where he'll be making an unofficial visit to Texas A&M after playing in the tournament.
Metoyer has a verbal scholarship offer from Texas A&M and high interest from Texas, Georgia, Notre Dame, Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma, UCLA and Stanford. Official scholarships can not be handed out until Sept. 1, 2009 for players in the class of 2011.
