Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes three-star linebacker Telvin Smith was part of a strong contingent of recruits who showed up on July 12 for Louisville's summer camp. The 6-3, 196-pound Smith did not work out at the camp, but he was there to observe the action and tour the school.

Smith's visit to Louisville gave the three-star prospect a chance to evaluate the program as a potential place to play his college football career, and several factors he reviewed favorably.
