Big East teams try to gain ground with Zeigler
LAS VEGAS - The straw that has stirred the drink for Team Detroit, Mt. Pleasant star Trey Zeigler has remained the go-to player for his summer team even with the addition of one of the nation's most high profile unsigned seniors in Dominique Ferguson.
On Thursday, Zeigler led Team Detroit to an easy victory over the New York Panthers. The Michigan State recruiting target scored 25 points to lead all scorers from both teams, as Michigan State assistant coach Mark Montgomery looked on.
"We had a great game," said Zeigler. "It was close at first, but I was happy with the way we stretched it out and were able to get it going. Right now, we are still learning to play with some of the new guys that are playing with us. It is a process, but I think it's going pretty well."
