Following a trip to the Rose Bowl to cap off a surprising 2007 campaign, Illinois head coach Ron Zook and senior quarterback Juice Williams have had two straight disappointing seasons. If not for a couple blowout victories over fellow Big Ten basement dweller Michigan, there would be little evidence of the promise shown by the Illini in their breakout season.
