Love has a top five
California and Washington are the Cougars' two main recruiting territories. But every recruiting cycle, Washington State tries to pluck a few out of the Lone Star State. They have signed seven from Texas the past two years. One of their top targets from the state this cycle is Jermaine Love.
The 6-foot-0, 200-pound linebacker from Garland (Texas) North is coming off a monster junior season in which he recorded 140 stop and 10 sacks. He earned first-team all-district honors and now owns his school's record for most tackles and sacks in a season.
"I'm all about speed," Love expressed. "I'm a hard hitter and real aggressive, but I'm all about getting there fast. Speed is my main strong suit."
