Abreu drawing major recruiting interest
Manny Abreu, a 6-3, 235-pound LB/WR from Union City (NJ) Union Hill, is one of the best two-way players in the Northeast.
An aggressive defender who also catches passes for the Hillers, Abreu has caught the attention of multiple college football programs, who like his combination of height, speed, and agility.
"Basically, he's 6-3, 235 pounds, and he runs real well, somewhere in the 4.5 to 4.6 area," said Abreu's head coach, Joe Rotondi. "He has about 25 offers."
According to Rotondi, Abreu possesses many skills, both physical and athletic, that project him as a major college football prospect.
"He's big, strong, very athletic, and he catches the ball real well," said Rotondi. "He can do a number of things. He can rush the passer; he can play the run or the pass."
