Sometimes when it rains, it pours. Such was the case Saturday afternoon at Faurot Field for Kansas State, and not just in the sense that both the Wildcats and Missouri played under constant showers throughout the contest. After taking an early 7-0 lead the floodgates opened, and K-State was washed over as Missouri scored the game's next 34 points on its way to a 41-21 win, snapping the Wildcats' 13-game winning streak in the series.
The Wildcats (4-4, 1-3) couldn't have been more pleased with the start of the game. On Missouri's first offensive snap K-State defensive end Rob Jackson beat an MU offensive tackle before blasting Missouri quarterback Chase Daniel. Daniel fumbled, and the loose ball was picked up and returned 43 yards for a touchdown by Zach Diles. Just 30 seconds into the contest, the Wildcats led 7-0.
