Road trip helps A&M
It didn't take long for Texas A&M fans to see what road games at top-10 competition did for the No. 13 Aggies. Losing to LSU and UCLA on the road in consecutive games might give a blemish in the loss column, but in convincing wins over Fordham and Jacksonville A&M showed that it had grown up quite a bit in that week.
It's easy to look at Fordham and Jacksonville as two teams that the Aggies should crush. Jacksonville won just one game last season while Fordham is a team that could compete for the Atlantic-10 title.
Take Fordham for instance. This season the Rams have one bad loss on their record, a 56-49 home defeat to Belmont. But Fordham's other three losses have come on the road to big time programs such as A&M, Tennessee and Maryland. They lost to Maryland by 20, but narrowly lost to Tennessee by seven with the game in doubt until the final moments.
