Gabe Miller--Redshirt Review
Perhaps the most highly touted athlete of the 2006 recruiting class, Gabe Miller came out of Lake Oswego High School as a four star recruit, ranked 11th in the nation at inside linebacker, and the number 1 overall prospect in the state of Oregon by Rivals.com. After signing, Miller suffered an Achilles tendon injury during the spring of his senior year, while running the high hurdles in a track meet at Lake Oswego. Surgery was required and up to nine months of rehab is the norm. He was able to focus on class work and work on his rehab all while building relationships with the coaching staff and his teammates.
