In a video to advertise the Unreal candy, Brady surprised random visitors and obvious fans. While customers, one-by-one, walked inside a small booth at a CVS in Rhode Island for a staring contest, the only rule was to keep your eyes open for thirty seconds without blinking. With a black curtain dividing the customer from the competitor on the other side, who would've thought the other person behind the curtain, would be the three-time Super Bowl winning quarterback.

Ultimately, eight Michigan commitments earned invitations to the event, though offensive linemen Logan Tuley-Tillman and Kyle Bosch withdrew because of other commitments and illness, respectively. Six U-M commitments participated and all impressed. Perhaps nobody was more impressive than Detroit Cass Tech cornerback Jourdan Lewis.

The Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League filed a lawsuit against the Michigan Daily student newspaper over a story involving U-M hockey recruit Jacob Trouba. The suit "Kitchener Rangers Junior A Hockey Club vs. The Michigan Daily, Matt Slovin and John Doe" was filed in the Superior Court of Justice in Kitchener.
