Arizona State star junior defensive tackle Will Sutton said he wasn't surprised by how much he was able to do in Saturday's 36-26 loss to Oregon State -- his coach, Todd Graham estimated Sutton to be at 70-80 percent of normal in the game -- and said he thinks he can be 100 percent when the Sun Devils play USC this Saturday in Los Angeles.
"You'll see," Sutton said Wednesday following practice.
Despite missing two games with a knee injury and playing another at less than full strength, Sutton remarkably still ranks first in the Pac-12 in sacks and tackles for loss, and in the Top-10 nationally in both categories.
ASU has lost three games straight, two of which were with Sutton absent, but he's looking forward to playing in his hometown area Saturday against the Trojans and glad just to have the opportunity after being hurt on the second play of the game against Oregon.
"When it happened I was scared. I didn't go to sleep until like 7 a.m. the next day," Sutton said. "I didn't know what the MRI was going to [reveal]. But when I got it back, it was a whole load off my shoulders."
