Here is look at how all of U-M's commitments performed during the weekend of Oct. 4 ...
Ian Bunting: Bunting caught just one pass for eight yards, and Hinsdale Central (4-2) was manhandled by Lyons 35-14 Bunting has totaled six receptions for 23 yards (3.8 yards per reception) during his senior campaign The Red Devils look to bounce back at Hinsdale South Oct. 11.
Juwan Bushell-Beatty: Paramus Catholic (4-0) had a bye week The Knights are averaging 34.3 points per game in 2013 Paramus Catholic returns to the gridiron Oct. 12 at home against St. Mark's.
Freddy Canteen: Eastern Christian Academy (5-1) defeated Imhotep Charter 36-28 The Honey Badgers cross state lines to face St. Ignatius (Ohio) Oct. 12.
Mason Cole: Cole's blocking helped East Lake (6-0) rush for 209 yards in a 51-13 win over Seminole The Eagles' six wins have come by an average score of 46.7-5.8 East Lake gets back to business Oct. 18 at Countryside.
Michael Ferns: Ferns was sidelined after suffering a shoulder sprain last week, but St. Clairsville (6-0) kept its perfect season alive with a 40-7 conquest of Harrison Central Ferns has tallied 61 tackles, including five for loss, and forced a fumble this year Ferns is expected to return when the Red Devils travel to Bellaire Oct. 12.
Noah Furbush: Furbush was in on 11 tackles, including five for loss and one sack, recovered a fumble and broke up a pass to fuel Kenton's (6-0) defense in a 34-10 win Furbush has devoured 56 ball carriers this year, including 11 for loss and three sacks, and recovered a fumble The Wildcats are at Elida Oct. 11.
Drake Harris: Harris sat out for the sixth-straight week with a hamstring injury, but Grand Rapids Christian (5-1) still hammered Jenison 55-7 Harris remains questionable for the Eagles' Oct. 11 tilt at Forest Hills Central.
Lawrence Marshall: Southfield (5-1) shut out Oxford 21-0 The Blue Jays welcome Rochester Adams Oct. 11.
Bryan Mone: Mone stopped just three ball carriers, including one in the backfield, and Highland (4-3) fell to Woods Cross 41-21 Mone has collected 18 tackles, including four for loss and one sack, this season The Rams look to get back on track at home against Skyline Oct. 11.
Brady Pallante: Pallante recorded eight tackles, but Barron Collier (2-3) dropped its third-straight contest in a 18-16 loss to Palmetto Ridge Pallante has stymied 20 runners in his last two games (10.0 tackles per game) The Cougars aim for a better result Oct. 18 at Estero.
Jabrill Peppers: Paramus Catholic (4-0) had a bye week This season, Peppers has rushed for 251 yards and a score on 28 carries (8.9 yards per carry), and caught 11 passes for 151 yards (13.7 yards per reception) and five touchdowns Defensively, he has piled up 17 tackles, including one sack, and one interception The Knights return to action Oct. 12 at home against St. Mark's.
Wilton Speight: Speight threw an eye-popping 68 passes, connecting on 28 (41.1 percent) for 247 yards and two touchdowns against one interception in The Collegiate School's (4-1) tough 24-14 loss to Woodberry Forest As a senior, Speight has thrown for 1,104 yards and 12 touchdowns The Cougars hope to right the ship when they visit St. Mary's Ryken Oct. 11.
Jared Wangler: Wangler snagged four passes for 95 yards (23.8 yards per reception) and a touchdown, and added six tackles to help De La Salle (4-2) blank Fordson 36-0 Wangler has brought down 35 ball carriers, made two sacks, and caught 17 passes for 238 yards (14.0 yards per reception) and a touchdown this season ... The Pilots host U of D Jesuit Oct. 12.
Brandon Watson: Watson made three tackles and intercepted a pass for Eastern Christian Academy (5-1) in a tough 36-28 victory over Imhotep Charter Watson has registered 21 tackles, intercepted three passes and returned a fumble for a score in the first six games of his final prep season The Honey Badgers make the trek to St. Ignatius (Ohio) Oct. 12.
Maurice Ways: Ways caught three passes for 49 yards (16.3 yards per reception) and added a 19-yard touchdown run in the first half of Country Day's (3-3) decisive 56-6 win over Chavez Academy Ways has grabbed 24 passes for 470 yards (22.3 yards per reception) and sprinted for a 19-yard touchdowns during his senior campaign The Yellow Jackets entertain Flushing Oct. 12.
Chase Winovich: Winovich was a monster on defense for Thomas Jefferson (6-0) in a 58-21 triumph over Laural Highlands, stockpiling six tackles, including two sacks, and forcing two fumbles Winovich has totaled 45 tackles, including nine for loss and eight sacks, forced five fumbles, recovered a fumble and scored eight offensive touchdowns in 2013 The Jaguars battle Belle Vernon at home Oct. 4.
George Campbell: Campbell caught one pass that accounted for 16 of East Lakes' (6-0) 19 passing yards, and returned a punt 64 yards for a touchdown in a 51-13 lambasting of Seminole He also added three tackles, including one sack, and a pass break up on defense As a junior, Campbell has 243 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 13 catches (18.7 yards per reception) The Eagles invade Countryside Oct. 18.
Shaun Crawford: Crawford ran for 184 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries (26.3 yards per carry), returned a punt 51 yards, and added nine tackles on defense to lead St. Edward (6-0) to a 41-14 decimation of Cardinal Mooney Crawford has galloped for 402 yards and four touchdowns on 18 carries (22.3 yards per carry) this fall The Eagles clash with St. Ignatius at home Oct. 19.
Andrew David: David was a perfect on four extra point attempts and blasted two kickoffs for touchbacks in Massillon's (6-0) 28-14 win over Akron Firestone ... David has been accurate on just one of six field goals (16.7 percent) as a junior ... The Tigers visit Austintown-Fitch Oct. 11.
Damien Harris: Harris carried Madison Southern's (6-0) offense in a 44-6 trouncing of Southwestern, finishing with 274 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 28 carries (9.8 yards per carry) This season, Harris has already gained 1,453 yards on the ground (242.2 yards per game) and 22 scores The Eagles are at home against Pulaski County Oct. 11.
Tyree Kinnel: Kinnel made seven tackles and amassed over 100 kick return yards in Wayne's (5-1) hard-fought 33-15 victory over Springfield Kinnel has totaled 38 tackles and an interception return for a touchdown in 2013 The Warriors are back on the road against Beavercreek Oct. 11.
John Runyan, Jr.: St. Joseph's (4-1) gained 358 total yards to rally past Archbishop Wood 31-21 The Hawks play at La Salle Oct. 11.
