November 21, 2005Duke's J.J. Redick was tabbed ACC Player of the Week after guiding the Blue Devils to three wins including victories over Boston University and Seton Hall to land a spot in the semifinals of the Preseason NIT.
The senior guard led the Blue Devils in scoring in all three games including a 29-point effort against Davidson. Redick averaged 22.0 points for the week, while shooting 53.5 percent from the floor.
Redick went a combined 8-of-16 from three-point range, moving past Rodney Monroe for fifth place in ACC history with 326 career three-point field goals.
Against the Wildcats, the Roanoke, Va., native was 10-of-18 from the field including 4-of-6 from long range in the win over Davidson. It was the third time in Redick's career that he has connected on 10 or more field goals versus the Wildcats.
Redick has now scored in double-figures in 40 of his last 42 contests, dating back to the 2003-04 season.
Duke will next play Drexel on Wednesday in the semifinals of the Preseason NIT at Madison Square Garden.
