October 8, 2006CORVALLIS, Oregon -- Jason Hill caught a 29-yard touchdown pass midway through the third quarter, lifting Washington State to a 13-6 Pac-10 Conference triumph over Oregon State.
Hill finished with five receptions for 121 yards. He was the primary target of Alex Brink, who completed 19-of-32 passes for 270 yards and an interception.
Derrell Hutsona carried six times for 68 yards to lead the ground attack for the Cougars (4-2, 2-1 Pac-10).
Oregon State (2-3, 0-2) received all of its offense from Alexis Serna, who kicked field goals of 39 yards in the first quarter, 42 in the second and 41 in the fourth.
Matt Moore was 18-of-34 for 223 yards and an interception and Sammie Stroughter had six catches for 124 yards for the Beavers, who converted just 3-of-12 third downs.
