The good: Muncy displays fine run-stuffing skills and the ability to make plays outside the tackle box. He is a powerful hitter with the speed, instincts and technique to be a major surprise in the NFL. He displays top instincts with the ability to read and react quickly, and he uses his hands well to shed blockers. Muncy plays with a lot of effort and has a non-stop motor.
The bad: There will be questions about his ability to perform against top-level competition after earning first-team All-MAC honors the last two seasons. He is just adequate in pass coverage but showed good hands with five career interceptions.
The skinny: Muncy is falling through the cracks but has the physical and mental skills to be a major surprise. A few seasons down the road, he could shock scouts and be a regular in a base defense. He would be a good late pick and has the well-developed tools to make it.
