Pros: He has a good first step, with the acceleration to close on the passer, but must develop additional hand techniques and learn to dip his shoulder better to gain the advantage off the edge. He must develop extra moves to win beyond the early part of the down and must use his hands better to counter inside. Cons: Whether he has the agility and change of direction skills to play as an attack linebacker in the 3-4 set remains to be seen. He will need further time learning the finer points of technique and play recognition. He shows effective rip and swim moves, but limited ability to counter inside or bull-rush a blocker. Tough prospect best suited for the 3-4 set on the outside with further development. Numbers: As a senior, he posted 24 tackles with 10 tackles for loss and three sacks. Skinny: Solid situational player with some upside if he develops better technique. Good late second-day pick with athletic ability and possible special teams player. Competitor with a good motor and production at a high level.
