Traverse City (Mich.) West offensive tackle Ryan Hayes confirmed with TheWolverine.com that he has committed to Michigan.

The 6-7, 250-pounder had been viewed as a potential Michigan lean but as one of the quieter recruits in the entire country, it's been tough to get a bead on exactly how he felt about all of his suitors. Earlier this spring Hayes outlined an unofficial top three consisting of Michigan, Michigan State and Notre Dame but the Wolverines obviously topped that list and now have him as a member of the class. Michigan now has 10 commitments in 2018 and the class is considered No. 11 in the country by Rivals.com.

Hayes' pledge comes just four days after Grand Rapids (Mich.) Catholic Central offensive tackle Jalen Mayfield's commitment and now gives Michigan three offensive linemen commits in the 2018 class with Indianapolis Cathedral four-star offensive guard Emil Ekiyor also being viewed as a future Wolverine. At 6-4, 339 pounds, Ekiyor is all guard while Hayes and Mayfield are both prototypical tackles with leans builds and plus athleticism as rising seniors.
