I don't have any names for you, and there really aren't any to be thinking about right now. Coaches aren't blind to what's going on, and they know they have to address it but Michigan's dollars were committed for the 2013 class long before Rutldege and Racine fell flat, and the recruiting puzzle for 2014 was largely intact before this problem arose also. As one source told me yesterday: "If U-M wants a good goalie, they're not getting one for free (meaning a walk-on)." Now, the situation is getting more desperate by the game, so there's a really decent chance Michigan will get a goalie for 2014, but to make it work, a lot of tough decisions will have to be made.

Does Milne's departure free up any scholarship money?

on whether Rutledge and Racine, in particularly Rutledge, appear to be capable of being "coached up" into acceptable D1 goaltenders. Not necessarily this season, but by next season. Rutledge was on the USNDT and had reasonably decent stats in his 2 years there, so he can't be devoid of ability.

with the same guy that worked with Brendan Gibbons after 2010. Enough talent is there, but the confidence is shaken big time, and it could stick with him for a long time.

They're terrible and painful to watch. Gotta trade em in.

Jared needs to start thinking about brunette girls before every game.

I think that's how Gibbons does it.
I'll suggest he start with AJ McCarron's girlfriend . . . .
