You could see it against Cornell at MSG...players who just don't believe. I thought the trip to New York would get everyone to play as one and find a way to compete. But, they have no confidence and they look like they lost their way in how to compete and how to play. They DON'T BELIEVE. And, in sports, when you lose belief, you get destroyed by the opponent. The league senses BLOOD...we always get everyone's best and now opponents are confident they will defeat Michigan.
We don't have enough fire power or skill. We may have double digit NHL draft picks, but they are not playing like a talented group. We are not fast enough, we are not physical enough. We play poorly in our defensive zone, we don't back-check enough, we have no sense of urgency, we don't muck in the corners enough, we don't bury our chances.
We have guys going through the motions on the ice. The ENTIRE TEAM needs to step up. NOBODY is playing very well.
Red needs to change up the lines and pairings again. No offense and no defense - we're not competitive anymore.
Maybe we just roll over and die...but THIS IS MICHIGAN. We need to suck it up and find the pride!
