Is it too late to get one? I think tonight is a great argument, in a nutshell, for signing a G up for next year. If not for next season, then one has to be signed for the year after and Racine or Rutledge have to go.

Thoughts?

because U-M's goalie problem isn't going away anytime soon. That said, Janecyk played fine tonight. His teammates flat out stunk.

support in front at all.  I would put the 4th goal on him, but by then the game was pretty much decided.  Just another game where the other team worked so much harder than Michigan.  Don't know what they can do in goal at this point.  I suppose you almost have to start looking for 2014.  Keep an eye out for 2013, but it's highly unlikely that they can get a top notch goalie in that class unless they go after somebody who is verbally committed to another school and I just don't see Michigan doing that.

Bigger question, what do they do now, start playing each goalie one period per game.  Of course if you don't get any play in front it's not really going to matter who you put between the pipes.

If this Michigan team had shown an ability to play well in front of any of the three then you'd go with that guy, but they haven't so I don't know what a move to Racine or Rutledge will do. I'd ride Janecyk as long as he's playing well enough for U-M to win, which he did this evening.

Yes you are right, he played well enough to give the team a chance to win and was let down by pretty much everyone else and I just don't see that happening.  If they haven't figured out yet what it takes to play winning hockey.  The worst part is that a lot of guys on this team know what it takes, but none of them, especially the older ones, seem capable of playing to level, they just seem uninterested.
