Outside of him being a major issue in the locker, will someone ever think of sitting him down and pointing out- 1-he was regarded a a good goalie, 2- one that should be able to go pro, 3- this play you are showing isn't really helping 2 what so ever, and 4- what do you need to improve?

Most of the team can be gone through that- just like all of us who when through school- you may have gotten somewhere on merit, but if you don't start performing, not many will be answering your resumes when graduation time comes around.  Either figure out what it going wrong, or consider your future at pretty significant risk. 

At this point, only Trouba and Merril will get a pro career where this isn't going to be hurting them- and if I were a GM, I would seriously think of telling them to figure it out before asking for contract.  Don't come early.
