That was really ugly.  Trouba tired, Merrill turnover.  No set-up in their zone.  

But, then again, our power play hasn't been good in years...even with good teams.

I will say, we skate pretty slow.  Red needs to recruit more speed.

That first period was some of the worst hockey I have seen two teams play. We look like a team just playing pick-up hockey out there. Thank god MSU is not very good as a good team would be beating us like 3-0 right now

Agree with you...we look like a fraternity hockey team playing an intramural game at Yost, with nice uniforms.  To me, it is just so weird and so rare to not see some semblance of team concept and some strategy.  However, it did seem like we had more shots and more time of possession, so it was not without some encouraging signs.

We just need to hit and skate and muck, muck, muck.

Need to keep the puck out of the net.  Give Rutledge some confidence.  That goal was a great shot and the defenseman's fault.  He was a bit shaky with wobbling pucks, but, I think he'll get better...first start in a while
