What's up with Rutledge? He has been a scratch for the last 4 games.

the worst on the team. He got off to a rocky start and has never been able to get on track. Doubt we see him again this year unless Racine absolutely implodes. Of course if there is any implosion between the pipes from this point forward, the season is over.

If Racine implodes, my sense is that Dwyer or Janecyk will get the nod. It won't be Rutledge.

The last two weekends Rutledge has been a scratch so the Rutledge was not an option during the game. I was suprised that he wasn't even the third goalie on the bench. Made me wonder if it was just performance or something else has gone on.

Michigan can dress a maximum of 3 goalies for games, Rutledge is odd man out currently.

Rutledge was the first goaltender named to the USNT but is small and has not progressed. Had Jack Campbell or John Gibson not gone to the OHL, we would not have been playing this weekend but would have had a bye

It's not something else. Kids hasn't been suspended and isn't injured. Team has had two goalies on the bench all year and it's just that at this point, Rutledge is fourth on the pecking order.

Since the rules only let you dress three goalies and the team has four, someone is going to be left out every night. It certainly is unusual that the only goalie on scholarship is the one that is left out, but in the end performance in games determines who plays.

Whatever it was, Jared was back on the bench as a backup goalie and Luke was scratched against Northern.
