and if I heard things correctly Mel was playing for them when they last won the tournament.    If it couldn't be Michigan it might as well have been Tech, somehow I like that it wasn't Western.  Not just a win either, a 4-0 shut out.

A friend of mine who graduated from Tech called me seconds after the final horn Saturday night to rib me a bit about Tech beating Michigan, so I have already passed along my congratulations to him (and some other Tech friends) for their big win.  Should make for an interesting get together next time we see each other in person
