was after Ferris' goal. That was a really lucky bounce that Racine didn't even see. It could have been the kind of goal that led to another one and another one, as Racine's confidence dove. Instead, he pushed that aside and came back just a few minutes later to make some big saves.
If this kid continues to play well it not only is huge for this year but for next season too. Michigan still wants another goalie but Racine would lesser the urge just to grab anyone.

that weird bounce would have sent him or any of the others into a downward spin. He shook it off and got back to work, that was very encouraging. Finally, got to see a replay of that and it was a freaky thing. Looked like it was going to go harmlessly wide and then it hit a UM players stick and re-directed right into the net.

Actually, I think it was even more than that. Racine stayed in the game so well that he seemed to get in the heads of the Ferris shooters. How many chances did they totally miss on? Some pretty easy goals had their heads been on straight.
The break aways were toally illustrated by the shootout- not even close. Particularly with the last shooter- who was taking attempt number 3 at a 1-1 with him.
We see that quite a bit in our own players, it's nice to see our goalie start psyching out the other team like that.
Even with the fluke goal, I bet that was a very satifying game for Racine.

You could see that Ferris had 7 skaters for the entire length of that highlight segment, about 18 seconds, and so no doubt it was even longer than that.
