Hey guys making our first trip up to the big house, everyone I have talked to says you must go. So a group of us are coming up. Just curious if there are any places Michigan fans recommend staying at? A lot of the hotels are already full, we just looking for a hotel to crash both friday and saturday. Looks like there are clusters of hotels, any certain area that we should avoid?

Also we do not have tickets and were looking for 4-8 tickets. Stubhub and ebay are way over priced right now, do you think they will go down as the season goes along? Is scalping an option?

Tailgating, is there an area to tailgate that is better than others? Or is spread out like Iowa City? Just trying to get some info on the area as well, we are excited to come up and see the campus and the stadium. Everyone says its one the top places to visit if you love college football. Thanks for your help.

South State Street (near Briarwood Mall & I-94). If full, try Ypsilanti, Dundee or Milan which are not too far away.  For tailgaiting, there are a number of places, but your 1st choice should probably be the golf course off South State Street heading north from I-94 towards the stadium.  You can't miss it, thousands of fans, including fellow Hawkeye fans there.  You can set up a tent, grill, corn hole, open fire etc.  95% of the people will treat you very well...just ignore the 5% jerks that every fan base seems to have....walking distance to the stadium.  Enjoy and welcome to the Big House!

Hayden,

Shoot me an email iahawks077@yahoo.com. I have 4 tickets on the 45 yard line I would be willing to sell I paid $150 a ticket for them, but they are prime seats.

Hey guys group is still coming, but only 4 of us as opposed to the group of 8. We got a hotel room at the Marriot out by the Interstate. Any suggestions on where to tailgate at? Also anyone who have tickets, would prefer sets of 2 or if ya got 4. Were not looking to spend more than 70-90 dollars a ticket. Also any good bars in the area we should visit? Thanks for your help, can't wait to be in the Big House soon (too bad Iowa will get their @ss kicked), but to be in a stadium like that will be awesome!
