Michigan recruits capture gold medal for Team USA

The Michigan hockey team's incoming freshman class is considered one of the nation's best this year, and over the weekend, signees Jared Rutledge, Connor Carrick and Jacob Trouba added to their resumes, winning a gold medal with Team USA at the 2012 World Under-18 Championships ...

"I think I realized almost immediately that what we had done was really special," said Carrick, a 5-10, 197-pound defenseman. "A lot of guys were caught up in the moment, but I was in a reflective move, and I was so happy to go out that way after the grind of two years with great teammates, in a program that pushes you individually, and as a team, to be your very best.
