The Dye is cast for Bruins

Going into training camp sophomore safety, Tony Dye battled fellow sophomore Glenn Love for the starting job at strong safety and that's a battle that is still waged every week in practice. Even this past week Love ran some reps with the ones keeping the competition strong.

Earlier in the week Dye talked to BruinBlitz.com and talked about competition, the season and the upcoming game against Arizona.

BruinBlitz.com: Going into the season you had battle for your spot in hard fought battle with Glenn Love. How did that competition help you and did you prepare yourself for how you are playing out on the field?

Dye: "Competition brings out the best in everybody and in any situation. Whether it is the workplace, finding a mortgage, it doesn't matter what it is. The competition with Glenn really brought out the best player in me and it still is because the competition is still alive.

"Every week it is a battle for the job and so I feel like I'm progressing each week, getting better. Even if it is little stuff."
