'Captain of the class'
Just about every prospect from the Class of 2010 that speaks with Devils Illustrated mentions that he has spoken, at some point in the process, with future Duke offensive lineman Takoby Cofield. The young man's hard work has earned him the title of "captain of the class".
That title was awarded to the 6-foot-6, 289-pound Tarboro tackle by Duke head coach David Cutcliffe himself, for Cofield's personality and enthusiasm. Since committing to Duke in mid-June, Cofield has worked tirelessly as another recruiter for the Blue Devils, trying to persuade the top uncommitted prospects on the recruiting board to join the class.
