Kevin Craft unsung hero

Senior quarterback, the much maligned, Kevin Craft was one of the UCLA's heroes during last Saturday's victory against Washington. What made his performance even more worthy was that the first reps he had last week were the ones under fire during the game. Craft showed the heart and grit that makes him one of the most popular players among his teammates.

Craft managed the game well and helped UCLA finally get back into the winning column. UCLA's last win incidentally Craft was the starting quarterback.

Craft talked to the media about the importance of the win and other subjects.

Craft: "We knew how important November was because we hadn't won a conference game and we have to get a couple of those if we want to make it into December. Every game is important in the Pac 10 and every game is a championship game because when we played Oregon, we didn't know that Oregon was going to be leading the Pac 10 by this week in the season. Every week is important and this is no exception and the next game is the same thing because wins are hard to get and everyone is real important, we only get to play 12."
