Michigan WR talks about his decision
Coming into the weekend, wide receiver Kevonte Martin-Manley was not quite sure what to expect on his official visit to Iowa. As he left today, it is safe to say the Michigan native was thoroughly impressed as he gave his verbal commitment to the Hawkeyes shortly after receiving a scholarship offer this morning. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Martin-Manley, who was previously committed to Bowling Green, talks about his decision and much more.
Q: First, can you talk about your decision? How did it all happen today?
MARTIN-MANLEY: Today, first I got up and ate breakfast with A.J. Derby, their quarterback commit that was visiting. After we ate, I had a meeting with Coach Campbell, the wide receivers coach. We watched film on the routes that they run and how they would use me in the offense and everything. Then we went and talked to Coach Ferentz and at the end he said, "We're going to offer you a scholarship," so I just told him I'm looking forward to being a part of the Hawkeyes. That was it.
