Jackets nearly fall to NC State

The Yellow Jackets nearly blew a 16 point lead in the final five minutes of the game, but somehow hung on for the 73-71 victory over NC State. The Wolfpack employed a frantic full court press to force seven turnovers in the final three and a half minutes. They had a chance to steal a win after D'Andre Bell committed his fifth turnover during that same stretch, a lob pass out of the reach of Iman Shumpert with 15 seconds showing on the game clock. The game would end in frenetic fashion as State tipped an offensive rebound out to the top of the key where Julius Mays gathered the ball and rushed a three pointer to win the game that clanked harmlessly off the front of the rim.
