Arneson tours Iowa schools
Wisconsin prospect Sam Arneson used his spring break this week to get out and visit two of the schools showing him early recruiting interest. The 6-foot-4, 233-pound Arneson, who plays linebacker and tight end at Merrill High School, spent the last couple of days in the state of Iowa as he toured the programs at both Iowa and Iowa State.
Both the Hawkeyes and Cyclones continue to evaluate Arneson, who currently has scholarship offers from Central Michigan, Western Michigan, and Toledo. A versatile prospect with the ability to play on either side of the ball, he finished with 20 catches for 347 yards and five touchdowns last season to go along with 84 tackles and five sacks on defense.
Right now, Arneson plans to attend camps at Iowa and Wisconsin with more possibly to be scheduled in the near future. Up next, he plans to visit Central Michigan and Western Michigan in mid April.
